    Reverend Doctor Nick Bundock

Rector at St James and Emmanuel Church

“I have been leading the clergy and staff team at St James and Emmanuel church in Didsbury since 2010 but have been part of the team since 2005.  I have been instrumental in aligning the vision of the Trust with that of the church and orientating us all around three core values: Belonging, Believing and Becoming.  Helping to establish West Didsbury CE Primary and grow the Trust has been a huge privilege.  As the Rector of the church and a Trustee of the St James and Emmanuel Academy Trust I am very conscious of the importance of excellent and well-rounded education to the future wellbeing of our children and to society as a whole.”

    representative on the Members Board

I have been in the teaching profession for many years, initially as a teacher in a variety of primary schools and then as headteacher of a primary school in Rochdale. After headship I went on to work for the Rochdale Local Authority establishing Sure Start centres across the region. I have been actively involved, as Chair of the Trust, in helping to establish the new West Didsbury CE Primary School and supporting the Trust sponsorship of St Wilfrid’s CE. I currently sit on each local governing body and am passionate about providing high quality Christian education to all the children in our care.
