Didsbury CE Primary School, St Elisabeth's CE, St Wilfrid’s CE Primary School and West Didsbury CE Primary School work together as part of the St James and Emmanuel Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust, which provides excellent partnership opportunities for the pupils, parents and staff of all our Trust schools.
The Trust is led and managed by one Executive Headteacher and one Trust Board. The Board of Trustees oversee and monitor the work of the Trust’s schools via its Executive Leadership team and the school’s local governing body committees.
In each school there is a full time Head of School who lead and manage alongside the Executive Headteacher.
St James and Emmanuel Academy Trust creates an enthusiasm for learning that will shape children's lives and future chances. Our union allows us to be innovative, be creative and provide pupil and parent support which would be more difficult for one school alone.
We are intrinsically linked to the St James and Emmanuel Parish and that of St Elisabeth's CE and St Wilfrid’s CE.
Our vision for education is deeply Christian, with Jesus' promise of 'life in all its fullness' at its heart.
In line with the Church of England's view for its schools, our vision is for the common good of the whole community.
Educating for wisdom, knowledge and skills: enabling discipline, confidence and delight in seeking wisdom and knowledge, and developing talents in all areas of life.
Educating for hope and aspiration: enabling healing, repair and renewal, coping wisely when things go wrong, opening horizons and guiding people into ways of fulfilling them.
Educating for community and living well together: a core focus on relationships, participation in communities and the qualities of character that enable people to flourish together.
Educating for dignity and respect: the basic principle of respect for the value and preciousness of each person, treating each person as a unique individual of inherent worth.
This is summed up in our vision – Belonging, Believing and Becoming
